Charlotte JUG - Oct Meeting - iPhone Development with RESTful Java Web Services
Hosted By: Charlotte JUG
iPhone Development with RESTful Java Web Services
The JUG meeting offers a great place to network with other developers, recruiters and businesses as well as learn new technologies. The location and room info are on the website, and as always we have refreshments available - thanks to our sponsor ettaingroup!
Presentation Outline
All you hear people talking about today is iPhone...iPhone...iPhone. In this session, we'll create an iPhone application that uses RESTful Java web services for both read and write. Then, we'll deploy to the iPhone simulator to demonstrate the debugging tools. Finally, we will deploy to an iPhone and show the application in real time on the device.
By the end of the session, you will understand the basics of the iPhone development process and as a Java developer how to best make decisions about building out your backend systems to support iPhone native client apps and numerous other mobile smartphone devices.
