Housewarming at Domus Ambitus

A funny thing happened the other day... see, we bought a house. One of those things, I guess. Anyhow, no help for it but to move in. So we did. And then, we thought, we should have a party so everyone has a reason to come see the new house, and to learn where it is, if they want to come by again. And because any excuse for a party is a good excuse, right? So come celebrate our fortune, mourn our fresh debt, and come live it up for a day at Domus Ambitus (which loosely translates to the border house. Because it's on Edge-ll road, see?). In finest Roman fashion (no, it's not a toga party), bring your wine, your women (or men), your thirst, your appetite, and we'll party as if the empire will never collapse!
- In short, we're having a housewarming party.
- You, your SO, your roomate, et al. are invited (but let us know, ok?).
- Bring food or drink if you like.
- The party starts at 2pm, and goes until the very end.
- Lots of crash space if you'd like to stay later than your vehicle's curfew.
- The commuter rail does run to Framingham, but not conveniently on weekends or holidays.
- Two cats will be sequestered into a bedroom. Medicate accordingly. Pettings allowed.
- Edgell Rd is a pretty major road and does not have on-street parking, near as we can tell. If the driveway is full, try the 7th Day Adventist lot three doors down.
Please RSVP so we have a rough count.

Hooray, this isn't the weekend I can't go anywhere due to work!
Truss will be joining me, in case he doesn't get around to RSVPing for himself.
Out of town all weekend
Sorry, going to be out of town this weekend!
And also Elyse I think. I'm not sure if the invite is extended to larger family-system?
Of course! Our invite refers to SOs, roommates, et al. being welcome. Extended units certainly fit in there.
This is pretty heavily dependent on how our release at work is going by Sunday
Good luck on the release! Come by on the 16th (see other invite) if this weekend bombs out for you.
So, it turns out I'm not going to Comic-Con, and no longer have to choose between two sets of plans in Massachusetts. So, if I can get a ride out there, I will be able to come.
If we wind up going we might be able to give you a lift.
I wasn't sure whether we could make it or not--work these days is kind of crazy for both of us. But I learned this week that my grandfather was recently hospitalized and in deteriorating health, so I'm going to have to leave my schedule as open as possible for a bit, unfortunately. I know it must seem like we're avoiding you, but we're really not. Sorry!
Of course! No party could be more important than family.
Gratias tibi ago!! I'll be there
Sorry - we'll be at a wedding in Maine...
We shall try, but it's my cousin's birthday that weekend so we may be away visiting the fam!
Congrats to you both! I'm unfortunately booked that weekend.
Congratulations on the new house! I am so terribly sorry we won't be able to make it, as I am being sent away on a business trip starting that weekend. Have a wonderful party!
I have put it on the calendar early enough, so you might actually see the husband too! Look forward to it, though I will have to figure out how to get out of work. Maybe I will have a new, better, job...
I'd love to come but Romana just hates the carseat so much. I don't think we'll want to put her in the car for so long. But perhaps I will come alone.
Emily & I will be honeymooning in Italy at the time, and it's a long way back! Sorry. :-(
Great invitation - though I am sad about the lack of togas
Erica and I will be in Portland, OR that weekend, so we can't make it.
I'm a definite maybe. I think there may be a Cooks' Guild meeting earlier in the day (which doesn't necessarily impact me), but there's rehearsal in the evening, and at ~3 weeks from The Wrathskellar, I suspect I'm going to be building props and sets like mad. But I will do my bestest...
Alas, what Suzanne said.
October is unclear in general, and the 10th is unclear in specific....
I have a wedding to go to! I'm sorry to miss it!
There's a Cooks Guild apple picking/stuff cooking at Camelot that day but I will try to work around it. How do you feel about people bringing lots of apple-themed refreshments? :p
We like apples.
Alas, that is the day of my younger brother's wedding in Philly.
