OWASP Meeting - Tuesday June 23rd at 6:00pm
Hosted By: Steve Carter & Mike Nixon
![]() |
The next OWASP meeting is just around the corner! Join us Tuesday June 23rd @ 6:00pm to discuss a web application vulnerability known as Cross-site Request Forgery (CSRF) that exists in nearly every web application in some form or another. CSRF has been called the "Sleeping Giant" of web application vulnerabilities due to its pervasiveness and the low level of awareness among developers and security professionals. We will give an introduction to CSRF, talk about some recent CSRF exploitations of well-known web sites, have a brief demonstration, and talk about ways to mitigate the vulnerability.
Pizza and drinks will be provided, so come hungry! NOTE, the location has changed. This meeting will be held at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Feel free to bring a guest - the more the merrier!
As always, see http://www.suncoastowasp.org for more info.
