True Story - My Dad was in the Hospital this past weekend. He was running a fever and complaining of intestinal soreness. I spent a lot of time with my Dad while he was in there talking about life and dreams and when it seemed to at the most dire moment my Dad looked me in the eyes and told me that I need to get back to doing what makes me most happy.
Then he farted loudly and we realized that all that was wrong with him was just trapped gas (cut him some slack, he's
seventy)
Gas aside, my Dad's message stuck with me and I realized he was
right...I do need to get back to doing what I do...and what I do is
show people why certain companies are amazingly awesome.
So in honor of
my Dad (and the fact I am in town to speak at the Word of Mouth SuperGenius Conference and to direct a music video) I'm inviting you to come by the Roger Smith Hotel to say hi, catch up, grab a drink (first
$400 worth are free) and maybe even get a caricature drawn of yourself
(nothing says social event of the year like caricatures!)

Hey Saul! I'd love to come. Only catch is that I'm coming back from out of town, so I need to get from JFK, to home, to Midtown, and I'm not sure if that can happen. How long are you in town for? Maybe we can get lunch or a drink later in the week?
Im only in town for two days and I am pretty busy both of them. my number is 416-219-3259 and we can try to figure something out.
I'm currently scheduled to be at a client in Delaware
but maybe I'll try to call in sick or derail the Acela so I can come.
