This talk will introduce OpenStack, a open source IaaS platform that can be installed on your own hardware to provide compute, storage, and network APIs similar to Amazon Web Services.
The talk will also provide a quick tour through the internals of OpenStack, focusing on the Compute (Nova) and Networking (Nova-network / Quantum) services.
Sean M. Collins is a Python developer, motorcycle enthusiast, and GitHub fanatic who is currently working at Comcast, helping to develop OpenStack deployments and extend OpenStack to work with internal APIs.

Let's keep in touch. I'm interested in using OpenStack to establish a civic hosting cloud here in Philly that is managed by the community and provides free hosting for community-oriented applications.
