Cambridge/Boston Startup Meetup

"Some people dream of great accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them" - Anonymous

The launched startups in the current Y Combinator summer session have reserved the loft of Tommy Doyle's Irish Pub in Harvard Square on Monday, August 11th for an evening of beers and discussion. All startups, entrepreneurs, and hackers are welcome and encouraged to attend!

For those of you who are familiar with Y Combinator, Paul Graham has agreed to attend and spend some time answering user submitted questions about "The Y Combinator Process and How to get Accepted". Follow this link to submit your questions and vote on other user submissions. The most popular questions will be addressed by PG.

How do you know when your startup is on the right track? This can be a tough question, especially in early-stage companies that haven't hit the classic 1M users or $1M revenue milestones. Nabeel Hyatt, founder of http://conduitlabs.com/ will address this head-on with a talk entitled "How do you know when your startup is working?" You can read more about Nabeel here: http://nabeel.typepad.com/about.html.

Kevin Merritt, founder of http://blist.com will be talking about his experiences with starting a company that was acquired by Microsoft in 2005, as well as the fundraising process and closing a $6 million dollar round for his new company, blist.com.

We'd also love to hear from anyone in the startup community who's interested in talking about their early-stage startup experiences. Shoot us an email at: StartupMeetup@anyvite.com

We're looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday. Be sure to RSVP and secure your spot at the meetup!

Do you mean Tommy Doyles? or Ticketstumbler?

Or both?

danhau 08/11/08

Hopefully both.

These things are always so much better when they're held at a bar.
